| Description: | Under the supervision and/or direction of the OB nursing staff/OB director provides age & developmentally appropriate direct clinical care to the preemie, neonate, infant, adolescent and adult patient populations. Provides care with a focus on patient safety. Assesses supplies levels, orders and restocks as necessary. Answers phones and call lights professionally. Assembles, disassembles patient charts. Utilizes the Paragon system to initiate physician orders. Assists nursing in the care of obstetrical and newborn patients according to the Obstetrics Scope of Service. Adheres to and practices the SJMC Corporate Compliance Program and participates in Performance Improvement activities. |
| Qualifications: | Wyoming C.N.A. certification and current CPR/BLS , and NRP preferred and required within 6 months of hire. Must be able to read and write English, understand basic hospital/medical terminology and simple math. Good communication, interpersonal, phone and customer service skills. Basic computer skills. |
