Employee Development Coordinator

Description:As a member of the Human Resources team, performs a variety of Human Resources functions including supervisory skills training, communication coaching, recruitment, new hire wage/salary administration, training, and evaluating programs/services. Conducts research, handles information requests and prepares reports. Assisting with the daily operation of the Human Resources Department as needed.
Specific duties include: Training of supervisory skills house-wide, assisting supervisors in managing employee performance issues through facilitation and performance management techniques. Supporting effective hiring practices, employee grievances and oversees unemployment including representation at unemployment hearings as needed. Conducts research on policies, programs, and other projects as needed.
Adheres to and practices the St. John's Medical Center Corporate Compliance Program and St. Johnís Vision, Mission and Values. Participates in Performance Improvement activities.
Qualifications:Bachelors degree and three years of prior experience in specific areas of Human Resources and/or management experience preferred. Background in employee coaching and analyzing data preferred. Experienced writer capable of drafting, proofreading and editing documents, excellent people skills and personal computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
