| Description: | Responsible for overall staffing, supervision and daily operations of the Materials Department including performance monitors, schedules, purchasing, distribution reports, and systems training. Plans operating budgets for Dept. 837. Develops and presents a Capital Replenishment Plan. Maintains systems for managing inventories for stock and non-stock supplies. Coaches Pyxis users to develop Par levels that ensure low unit of measure inventories. Maintains accurate purchase orders, disbursements and receipts. Reports annual inventory to Accounting, supported by cycle counts that adjust for actual use throughout the year. Manages and evaluates on a continuous basis Group Purchase Organization agreements (VHA/Novation) to maximize cost containment and distribution system efficiency. Monitors and evaluates the safety activities in Materials Management. Leads the New Products Committee and attends other management meetings, as needed. Delivers services according to the Scope of Service for the Materials Department. |

| Qualifications: | Knowledge of medical/surgical products preferred. Inventory management/control experience, analytical and assessment skills, clerical, computer, budget/reporting and coaching/negotiating skills required. Good communication, interpersonal, phone and customer service skills. |
